MVO Project again a great success
Since 2010 Payoke has been cooperating with the Faculty of Applied Economics of the University of Antwerp in the framework of the Corporate Social Responsibility (MVO) Project. The implementation of the MVO Project is carried out in groups by students of Master in Commercial Engineering. Students offer their knowledge and expertise for free, as junior consultants. The MVO project has four objectives: to provide a platform where students come into contact with the outside world, including with the non-profit sector; to offer students a broader perspective on society and their active participation; to provide a more varied training from the university; and to help non-profit organizations in Antwerp by offering them free consulting.
On May 13 2016, the students presented the results of their cooperation with Payoke. They gave a brief explanation of the specific objectives of their project, the methodology and results obtained. This year, student consultants supported Payoke in the selection and implementation of an internal communication platform, Trello. Among those present were professors from the University of Antwerp, employees of Payoke and other non-profit organizations together with a number of interested external parties.
As part of the MVO Project Payoke wants to contribute to raising awareness among student about important social phenomena. The integrated approach is a nice addition to the often theoretical courses that the students have followed so far. Moreover, the MVO Project also contributes to the development of basic competencies such as: team work, specific project planning, analytical thinking, problem solving in real situations, dealing with practical difficulties and constraints and communication with multiple parties.
